Topic Description
Innovations in wireless health promise solutions to the need for universal access to affordable and effective health care. Opportunities abound for those who wish to enable consumers to take charge of their health, create affordable ways to manage aging and chronic conditions, move care from the hospital into the home, improve treatment options by providing transparency of measurable clinical outcomes, and shift the focus from “sick care” to “health improvement” and prevention. Despite these premises, the challenges that wireless health innovators must overcome are not trivial and include the need for enabling platforms, viable and effective regulatory strategies, understanding consumer behavior, and more. Join us for a discussion of all these aspects that characterize the emerging wireless health landscape, and for an overview of some of the devices that are already transforming the way we access health care today.
